Ashikaga Flower Park’s “Oto” (giant wisteria flower) is now at its best and expected to be enjoyed until late April.

Ashikaga Flower Park (607 Sakoma-cho, Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture) announced the full bloom of large wisteria on April 20.

The blooming of the wisteria trees, which are 160 years old and bloom like a curtain, is expected to be enjoyed until late April.

The park is currently holding a spring festival, “Fuji-no-Hana Monogatari (Tale of Fuji’s Flowers): The Great Wisteria Festival 2026. Visitors can enjoy more than 350 wisteria of various varieties in the garden, including the giant wisteria, the 80-meter-long white wisteria tunnel, and the world-famous double-flowered black dragon wisteria. Fantastic nighttime lighting is also available until May 20.

Admission fees vary depending on blooming conditions, ranging from 1,200 yen to 2,300 yen for adults and 600 yen to 1,200 yen for children. Advance tickets are available at convenience stores and KKday.
