The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is holding the illumination event “Movement of Flowers and Light: Nemophila and One Hundred Flowers in Shaheen Park” until April 26.
This is an annual event held in Shonen Park (1-1 Shonen Park, Adachi-ku, Tokyo) in spring when the nemophila is in full bloom, and visitors can enjoy the fantastic illumination of flowers and lights created by Hibiya Kadan this year as well.
Five different dimming patterns, including shimmering and rippling, are used to create a “color story” that transitions from the colorful spring flowers to the all-blue of the nemophila flowers. This year, the “Nemophila Sky Stage,” a photo spot where visitors can stand on a field of nemophila flowers and take pictures, will also be set up.
During the period, limited take-out gourmet items such as “Nemophila Soft” (500 yen), “Nemophila Dango” (500 yen) and “Nemophila Soda” (500 yen) will also be available.
Lighting hours are 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday): 18:00 – 20:30. Admission is free. The main access is a 1-minute walk from “Tajoen Station” on the Nippori-Toneri Liner.
