Kintetsu will launch “Suwareru,” the first paid seat reservation service on general-purpose trains, on June 1.
The new Series 6A trains, which will be introduced on May 19 on the Minami Osaka Line, Yoshino Line, Nagano Line, and Gosho Line, will be used for the service between Osaka Abenobashi Station and Furuichi Station. The service will be provided on the first car of the express train bound for Yoshino that departs from Osaka Abenobashi Station at 6:50 p.m. during the weekday evening rush hour. Seats are cross-seated, with a capacity of 36 passengers. Seats can be taken directly after arrival at Furuichi Station.
The fare is 300 yen, with an opening campaign price of 200 yen until June 30. The tickets will go on sale from 5:30 a.m. on the day of boarding (from 10:00 a.m. on June 1) only on the “Suwareru” reservation site on smartphones. This campaign will not be implemented on weekends and holidays.
