Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. will conduct the second large-scale renovation of Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Izumi (4-4-7 Ayumino, Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture) since its opening, with a total of 30 new and renovated stores opening on March 26.

The renewal will add high-profile tenants such as the new adidas Store by ABC-MART, which will open its first store in the Kansai region, and a restaurant that will open its first store in Osaka, as well as significantly update the facility environment, including a food court and a playground for children.

In addition to such high-profile tenants as “Cha Kaoru Shoronpo” and “Boogie LaLaport Izumi,” both of which are opening in Osaka for the first time, 22 new stores will be added, including renewed food and beverage outlets and a variety of apparel, general merchandise, and sports-related stores to meet the needs of men and women alike. In addition, WORKMAN Plus will be reborn as Workman Colors, and existing stores such as Mister Donut and Thomas Station/namco will be given a new look. The lineup will be even richer and more enjoyable for families and a wide variety of visitors.

The food court on the third floor has been renamed “FOOD PARK” and redesigned to reflect the rich natural theme of Izumi City. For the convenience of families, box seats will be newly installed in the center area, and a monitor showing cartoons for children will be installed in the “Komorebi Garden” at the back of the building.

The interior will be decorated with laminated panels made of Izumoku, a wood produced in Izumi City, and traditional industries such as Izumi cotton and Izumi glass, which will be used in the blinds.

On the second floor, Komorebi HILL, an open-air playground that resembles a grassy mountain, will be newly built. The adjacent existing “Komorebi HOUSE” will also have a new mat area and other facilities to provide a safe play environment for children of all ages.

In addition, baby rooms (nursing rooms and diaper changing rooms) on each floor have been renewed. Diaper and changing tables that are easy to use with strollers have been installed, and the design has been changed to a warmer style that incorporates the satoyama landscape of Izumi City. The powder room in the women’s restroom on the third floor has also been renovated to improve comfort.
