Bunshuso has begun offering three new guest rooms at Bunshuso Shorotei (Cape Amanohashidate Monjushido, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture), a ryokan located in Tango Amanohashidate Oeyama National Park, which includes Amanohashidate, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan.
Bunshuso Shorotei is a six-room ryokan (Japanese-style inn) located behind Chionji Temple in a wooden one-story, sukiya-style building. Each of these four rooms is equipped with a half-open-air bath.
Each guest room is composed of several Japanese-style rooms. The smallest room, “Ten-no-Yukyu,” is approximately 79 m2, while the largest, “Kumoi,” boasts approximately 117 m2. Surrounded by the Aso Sea, guests can experience a sense of openness without the traffic of cars.
The rooms are furnished with a bedroom and two double-sized beds; futon bedding is provided for two or more guests.
Both half-open-air baths feature microbubbles. The special rooms offer a view of the Japanese garden, which is maintained daily, and the Aso Sea-side rooms offer a view of the Aso Sea, a calm inland sea without waves, separated by the Amanohashidate. Although the semi-open-air baths do not use hot spring water, there is a large bathhouse with natural hot spring “Amanohashidate Onsen” running inside the hotel.
Currently, in conjunction with the opening of the new guest rooms, meals are being served in the newly built private dining room. Also, until August 31, the hotel is offering some plans at special prices on its official website and major reservation sites as part of the “New Style Monitor Campaign. Guests must be at least 12 years old to stay at the hotel.
