Keio Electric Railway to Suspend Zoo Line All Day on December 11. Due to the Misawa viaduct replacement work.

Posted on October 25, 2022 by News Admin

Keio Electric Railway will suspend all-day service on December 11 from Takahatafudo Station to Tama Zoo Park Station on the Zoo Line due to construction work to replace the Misawa Bridge on the Zoo Line.

The project will be implemented in conjunction with the widening of the Hino City Planning Road No. 3, 4, and 3 Ochikawa-Hirayama Line (Kawasaki Kaido). In addition to facilitating automobile traffic, the road is expected to function as an emergency transportation road and evacuation route in the event of a disaster, and to improve the urban landscape by undergrounding power lines and planting roadside trees.

Between Takahatafudo Station and Tama Zoological Park Station, the Tama Toshi Monorail will be used as an alternative transportation service, and bus substitute transportation (approximately every 15 minutes) will be provided from 9:00 to 17:00. The bus substitute transportation is scheduled to take approximately 10 minutes.
