The Japan RV Association has certified 12 new sites as “RV Parks,” facilities for overnight stays in vehicles (as of the end of August).
RV parks are facilities that meet certain criteria to ensure comfortable and safe overnight stays in vehicles; there are currently more than 686 such parks located nationwide, adjacent to hot spring resorts, traditional inns, roadside stations, and amusement parks.
In August, you can enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean while soaking in the mineral spring baths at “Karo no Yu Tenku RV Park,” which uses spring water from Mount Karo towering behind the facility (50 Sugime Iihi, Shinchi-machi, Soma District, Fukushima Prefecture; Karo no Yu) opened in August, where you can enjoy a view of the Pacific Ocean while soaking in a mineral spring bath fed by spring water from Mount Karo, which towers behind the facility; “RV Park SUWA Glass Village” (2400-7 Toyoda, Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture), where you can admire fantastically glowing glass artworks, try your hand at glass crafting, and shop at the glass shop; “RV Park Ezosumika Asahikawa” (529-1 Chubetsu, Higashi-Asahikawa-cho, Asahikawa City, Hokkaido), where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets in the evening amidst beautiful countryside scenery and relax at the on-site café.
