Hachette Collections Japan launched “Peanuts Miniature Town” on August 19. It is published weekly, with each issue priced at 1,799 yen (the first issue is 299 yen). A total of 120 issues are planned.
This collection allows you to recreate the lives of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang right on your desk by bringing to life three-dimensional models of buildings—such as the doghouse, Charlie Brown’s house, and the school the Peanuts gang attends—as well as figurines and accessories. When completed, the set measures approximately 47 × 34 × 47 cm (width × depth × height).
The miniature sets offer a high degree of design flexibility, allowing you to display buildings by area or combine them to recreate scenes, while the figures have rotating necks and waists, so you can enjoy various poses, such as standing or sitting.
The first issue features a set consisting of Snoopy’s doghouse, a Woodstock figurine, and a floor lamp; the lamp is LED-powered and actually lights up.
We also accept subscriptions. If you sign up by September 8, you’ll receive a Schroeder figurine, a Beethoven statue, and a miniature of Lucy’s psychoanalysis stand (Bonus 1), three Snoopy figures and a Charlie Brown figure (Bonus 2). Additionally, by paying an extra 250 yen each month starting with Issue 4, you can receive a set of 10 Snoopy in Disguise figures.
