GREEN×EXPO Association and Pieklex held a joint event on March 25 at Jiji Press Hall. Four types of official uniforms for the “GREEN×EXPO 2027” volunteer attendant staff were unveiled for the first time.
As the “face” of GREENxEXPO 2027, they will be in charge of attending to visitors. The items produced include windbreakers, jackets, polo shirts, cargo pants, rain ponchos, and hats. The silhouette is inspired by the Japanese work clothes called “samue,” and the colorful petals released from the symbol mark of GREENxPO 2027 are decorated on a white base color.
Provide operational support, such as giving directions inside and outside the venue, so that visitors can enjoy the event with a smile and a sense of security. Items produced include windbreakers, T-shirts, rain ponchos, hats, and mini shoulder bags. The main color is earth blue (the blue of the earth) and is studded with white petal motifs.
Visitors will be introduced to the wide variety of flowers and greenery that adorn the venue each season. Items produced include windbreakers, T-shirts, rain ponchos, hats, and mini shoulder bags. The main color is green, which plants fill the world with through photosynthesis, and incorporates a white petal motif.
Team P-FACTS participated in GREEN x EXPO 2027 as a Platinum Partner in project sponsorship. The organization has now expanded to include six new companies as members.
The four official uniforms announced this time will be worn by a total of more than 10,000 staff members. Team P-FACTS, a corporate consortium headed by Murata Manufacturing subsidiary Pieklex and launched with V&A Japan in October 2025, will be in charge of production.
To keep the flower beds beautiful, we will support the management of the beds by picking flower buds, weeding, etc. Items produced include windbreakers, T-shirts, rain ponchos, hats, mini shoulder bags, gardening arm covers, gardening gloves, and gardening aprons. The bright green base with dark green petals is designed to blend in with the horticultural scene, embodying the “future of living with nature” that GREEN x EXPO 2027 aims to achieve.
New Constituents

Toda Corporation (Chuo-ku, Tokyo)
Japan Wool Weaving Co.

Maker’s Shirt Kamakura (Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture)
Murata Manufacturing (Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture)
The uniforms are made of a special fiber that is derived from plants, can be composted, and has antibacterial properties due to the power of electricity. The uniforms are made in a slightly loose fit to prevent overheating, and the company plans to release the innerwear at a later date.
In order to make the cycle of materials visible, a composting area will be set up in the GREENxEXPO 2027 venue to show the public how scraps and other materials generated during production are actually returned to nature as resources (i.e., recycled).
In addition, Pieklex will also produce four types of “resource-recycling uniforms” for volunteer staff at the “Field-oriented Activity Center” in Yokohama, and provide inner shirts for the official uniforms worn by the venue service attendant staff at the Osaka-Kansai Expo in 2025. In addition, we are providing inner shirts for the official uniforms worn by service attendants at the Osaka Expo in 2025.
The presentation featured appearances by Pieklex brand ambassador Sou Takei, Miss Japan 2026 Grand Prix winner Eko Noguchi, and the official mascot character “Tunktunku.
Mr. Takei experienced the actual recycling process of uniform materials. “The chopped materials were returned to the soil, and I ate pasta with tomatoes grown in the soil as the sauce. It was the most impressive pasta I have ever eaten,” he said.
When asked what she thought about the use of eco-friendly materials, Ms. Noguchi replied, “I don’t have to hold back for the protection of the global environment. They are colorful and can be worn while lifting one’s spirits. It is good that we can feel that we are having fun while making choices that are good for society for the future,” he commented.
The theme of GREENxEXPO 2027 (Yokohama Green Expo), which will be held for the first time in about 37 years since the Osaka Flower Expo in 1990, is “Tomorrow’s Landscape for Creating Happiness. The exhibition will be held from March 19 to September 26, 2027, and will utilize approximately 100 hectares of the former Kamiseya Communication Facilities and the south side of Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
