On March 28, Air Japan conducted its last flights for the brand: NQ121 to Incheon at 9:50 a.m., NQ3 to Singapore at 5:05 p.m., and the last flight from Japan was NQ1 to Bangkok at 5:35 p.m. (The last local flight from Singapore and Bangkok was March 29).
The company, which began operations in February 2024 as ANA’s international medium-haul brand, has launched the Bangkok route (launched on February 9), the Incheon route (launched on February 22), and the Singapore route (launched on April 26) in quick succession, with the mission of “welcoming foreign travelers with Japanese hospitality” and “fulfilling the Japanese desire to travel overseas with ease. The company’s mission is “to welcome foreign travelers with Japanese hospitality” and “to fulfill the wishes of Japanese people who want to travel overseas with ease.
On the other hand, due to the protracted conflict in Russia and Ukraine, combined with delays in aircraft deliveries from Boeing, ANA has adopted a policy of expanding its international flight business by suspending the Air Japan brand and consolidating its aircraft and personnel to ANA.
Before the departure of the final flight, Mr. Naoki Michihiro, General Manager of the Flight Operations Department, looked back on the past two years and the mission he had set for the airline. “Today we are almost fully booked, and I am confident that what we have done has not gone wrong. I am confident that we have fulfilled our role well.” He also expressed his gratitude for the support he has received, saying that although operations under the Air Japan brand have come to an end, “the knowledge we have accumulated to date will be passed on as a great asset for ANA’s future development.
