Zambia is located in the center of the Southern African region. Although landlocked, Zambia shares borders with eight neighboring countries and has excellent access to neighboring countries. Zambia is a member of COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa), SADC (Southern African Development Community), and AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area), and these regional integrations have expanded access to the African market of 1.4 billion people. In addition, the Zambian government is actively promoting foreign investment, aiming to expand value chains in mining, agriculture, and manufacturing, and there are numerous business opportunities for Japanese companies to utilize their technologies and services. Through this business study tour, you will visit local companies, organizations, and business environments at each stage of the manufacturing supply chain in Zambia, from upstream to downstream, and explore new business possibilities in Africa’s growing markets!
