The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on February 10 for the “Polio Eradication Project (UNICEF collaboration)” for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. This project will support the procurement of polio vaccines in Afghanistan to ensure the steady implementation of polio vaccination activities for children.

Business Objectives

The project will contribute to the reduction of polio incidence among children in the country, the securing of healthy lives, and sustainable and independent development.
