A special exhibition looking back on the Osaka-Kansai Expo and its achievements. Some of the food and health care technologies exhibited at the Expo, such as the “Mirai Human Washing Machine,” “Marbled Meat Made at Home” using 3D bio-printing, and cardiac muscle sheets made from iPS cells, will be shown for the first time in Tokyo.
It also features the design system, which is said to have been the catalyst for building participation through SNS. The production process is introduced through the proposal materials submitted by Kota Hikichi, who played a central role in the project. The soundscape used at the exhibition is also reproduced.
In addition, there will be exhibits on restrooms and toilets, which have attracted attention for their experimental structures designed by young architects. The exhibition will look back on the design philosophy behind the “Time-scape Pavilion,” “Responsive Structure,” and “Building Block-like Architecture,” three of the facilities featured.
