MOL Cruises has unveiled images of the onboard facilities of the Mitsui Ocean Sakura, a cruise ship scheduled to go into service in September 2026.
All rooms are suite-type, and all have ocean views. In addition, about 90% of the rooms have private verandas.
The main dining room is Restaurant Sakura, which offers course meals and can be used at any time during business hours. In addition, there will be a buffet-style “Terrace Restaurant Yae,” “Bar Umi” serving light meals and drinks, and “Sushi Bar Ushiozai” serving sushi, small dishes, and Japanese sake.
A new footbath, which was not available at the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, will be installed at the Grand Pool. The footbath can be used while wearing clothes, and the view can be enjoyed while feeling the ocean breeze. There is also a “poolside bar” by the pool that serves casual food.
The company has also released 29 cruise itineraries through January 2027. Debut Cruise I, the first cruise to be operated, will depart on September 19, 2012 for a five-day tour of Toba and Hidaka, departing from and arriving at Yokohama. Thereafter, the company will operate a total of nine debut cruises from Tokyo and Yokohama to Niigata, Kanazawa, Kobe, and Hakata by the end of October.
From early December, tours to/from Nagoya, Hiroshima, and Kobe will also be available.
