As part of its “In-Flight Shopping at Home” service, JAL will release the “Familia JAL Original Bear with Serial Number”—a teddy bear dressed as a pilot, flight attendant, or maintenance technician—on November 1. The price is 40,000 yen each for individual bears (JAL Card price: 36,000 yen each) and 120,000 yen for the complete set (JAL Card price: 108,000 yen).

“In-Flight Shopping at Home” is an online in-flight shopping service available exclusively to passengers on JAL international and domestic flights. For domestic flights, the company has consolidated its traditional in-person sales into the “In-Flight Shopping at Home” service effective March 1.

This collaborative plush toy features the soft, fluffy, long-pile fabric of the Familia Bear—which feels wonderful to the touch—paired with a JAL uniform. The bear, dressed as a pilot, wears a shirt under his jacket and a tie. Even the cap bearing the JAL logo has been faithfully reproduced down to the finest details.

The bear dressed as a flight attendant wears a scarf featuring the JAL logo—carefully crafted to match the original design—around its neck. The bear dressed as a maintenance technician is wearing overalls that match the actual colors and design. The JAL “Tsurumaru” logo is featured on its back, and the cap has been meticulously recreated using embroidery.

Each uniform is designed to be put on and taken off easily. They come with a serial number card, making them ideal as gifts for occasions such as baby showers and birthdays.

The Complete Set, featuring three Famili Bear figures, will be sold in a limited run of 10 sets. Individually, the Pilot and Flight Attendant figures will be available in a limited run of 180 each, and the Mechanic figure in a limited run of 100.
