Yamazaki Industries has released silicone caps for stick-type candy and gum under its “tower” brand. The price is 396 yen each (pack of 2).
The “Silicone Candy Cap” is a lid designed to fit over stick-type candies sold at convenience stores and other retailers. Typically, after opening the package by peeling back the tape along the outer edge, people fold the edge over to prevent the contents from spilling out; this cap fits snugly over that edge to prevent spillage. The dimensions are 2.7 × 1.8 × 2.1 cm (width × depth × height).
The “Silicone Gum Cap” is a similar product, measuring 2.3 × 1.5 × 2.1 cm (width × depth × height).
