Seigensha will simultaneously release the first three “Myaku Myaku” flip-book series titles—“Myaku Myaku’s…,” “To Myaku Myaku…,” and “Myaku Myaku…”—in late October. Each of the three titles comes in a special edition that includes a custom pouch, and each is priced at 3,300 yen.
The three latest titles in the “Parapara Books” series—a collection of palm-sized picture books that elevate flip-book animation to the level of art—are officially licensed EXPO 2025 products illustrated by Kohei Yamashita himself, the designer of Myaku Myaku.
The included special pouch, designed by Mr. Yamashita, is a generous size at 135 × 45 × 88 mm (width × depth × height), and can be used to store your favorite plush toy or as a pouch for small items such as stationery and cosmetics. The hole in the zipper pull is designed to be larger than usual, allowing you to thread a keychain or carabiner through it so you can carry it with you.
The red-and-blue version of “Myaku Myaku’s…” depicts the decisive moment when Myaku Myaku’s sixth eye was born, while the black version, “To Myaku Myaku…” depicts a mysterious moment that occurred while Black Myaku-Myaku was out for a walk, and the “Colorful” version, “Myaku-Myaku…” depicts Myaku-Myaku playing in a meadow while changing into various colors.
