Workman Unveils New “Step-In” Models: Shoes You Can Slip On Without Using Your Hands. Features Include the XShelter Amayoke Mok, Designed to Withstand Cold and Rain, and More

Posted on October 23, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Workman is selling the latest models in its “Step-In” line of high-performance shoes at stores nationwide.

This product is a version of the hands-free shoes—originally developed for construction workers who take their shoes on and off multiple times a day—that has been adapted for everyday use. Thanks to their ease of use—allowing users to “put them on in one second” without using their hands—and their functionality, demand has expanded to include parents, busy workers, and seniors, resulting in a hit product that sold 230,000 pairs in the last three months.

This season’s new releases include the “XShelter Insulated β AMAYOKE Mock” (2,900 yen), which features Workman’s proprietary “XShelter” insulation material, far-infrared heat retention, water-repellent properties, and waterproof fabric on the instep, the “Step-In High Bounce” (2,300 yen), which incorporates high-rebound cushioning and time-saving elastic laces that allow you to slip them on without tying; and more. They also recommend the existing popular “Step-In Mothers’ Shoes” (2,900 yen), which can be put on while standing and feature slip-resistant outsoles, highly water-repellent materials, and high-rebound soles.

We offer hands-free shoes—which can sometimes cost over 10,000 yen on the market—at an affordable price in the 2,000-yen range, helping to reduce the hassle of putting them on and taking them off every day. For our full lineup of fall and winter shoes, please visit our official online store.
