The Japan RV Association has certified 18 new locations as “RV Parks,” facilities for overnight stays in vehicles (as of the end of September).
RV parks are facilities that meet certain criteria to ensure comfortable and safe overnight stays in vehicles; there are currently 706 such parks located nationwide, adjacent to hot spring resorts, traditional inns, roadside stations, and amusement parks.
Among the facilities certified this time is one located in Miyagi District, Miyagi Prefecture, “RV Park Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Sokan,” which offers a spacious public bath with a view of the breathtaking scenery of Matsushima—one of Japan’s Three Great Views—as well as “RV Park CoCoChi” in Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, where visitors can enjoy the adjacent glamping site and barrel sauna.
