Sado Kisen has begun selling its winter travel package, “Sado: A Journey Amid the Steam of Hot Springs,” for departures from December 1 through March 31, 2027 (excluding December 30 through January 2).
This accommodation package combines a one-night stay with two meals—choose from six different inns—with round-trip second-class ferry fare on the Niigata route. In addition to the renowned hot springs—which have earned the island the nickname “Island of Hot Springs” due to their abundance and variety—each inn offers a “recommended specialty dish” featuring Sado’s seasonal delicacies and local ingredients. The return trip can be extended up to the fifth day; if you use this plan for your first night, you are free to choose your accommodations for the second night and beyond, allowing you to leisurely enjoy your winter trip to Sado.
Travel costs vary depending on the accommodation you choose: the “Okesha Course” ranges from 18,800 to 21,300 yen for adults and from 13,000 to 14,500 yen for children. Alternatively, the “Toki Course” ranges from 21,300 to 26,300 yen for adults and 15,000 to 18,000 yen for children.
