Kagoshima Prefecture will launch the “Kagoshima Recovery Support Discount,” a version of the Japan Tourism Agency’s “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program, on October 14.
This program offers discounts of up to 60% on lodging and travel expenses within the prefecture, and applies to reservations made directly with lodging facilities, as well as those made through travel agencies and online travel agencies (OTAs).
The eligible stay period is from October 14 (check-in) to March 1, 2027 (check-out) for direct bookings with accommodations, and from October 14 (check-in) to February 1, 2027 (check-out) for bookings made through travel agencies or OTAs. However, stays from December 26 through January 3, 2027, are excluded from this program, and reservations will close as soon as each provider reaches its budget limit.
For more details, please check the special website, which is scheduled to go live at 10:00 a.m. on October 10. Please note that stays through October 13 are eligible for discounts under the prefecture’s own travel support program, the “Kagoshima Tourism Support Discount.”
