On October 20 (local time), Boeing announced that the revised type certificate for the “Boeing 737-10”—the longest-fuselage model in the 737 MAX family—had been approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). With this, the 737-10 has obtained the certification and authorization required for commercial operation.
The 737 MAX family is the company’s state-of-the-art single-aisle aircraft; the 737-10 has the longest fuselage in the family, with a passenger capacity of 185 to 210 and a maximum range of 3,100 nautical miles (5,740 km).
In Japan, Skymark has decided to introduce the 737-10 and has announced that it will install new seats and configure the aircraft for a maximum of 210 seats.
