The Japan Air Self-Defense Force will hold “Air Festa Hamamatsu 2026” at Hamamatsu Air Base on October 25. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The event will feature exhibits such as a rescue fire truck and a skid-steer loader, as well as an F-15 aerobatic display and a demonstration flight by the Blue Impulse. The Blue Impulse aerobatic display is scheduled for 10:10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. The Hamamatsu Public Relations Center (Air Park) will be closed from the day before the event through the day of the event.

Since there is no parking available on the base, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation. On the day of the event, a paid shuttle bus will operate from the south side of Act City at Hamamatsu Station. The shuttle will run on a continuous basis from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the outbound trip and until 4:30 p.m. for the return trip.

If you purchase a digital advance ticket for the shuttle bus through EMot Online Tickets, only round-trip tickets are available, priced at 1,500 yen for adults (junior high school students and older) and 750 yen for elementary school students. If you purchase tickets on the day of travel, round-trip tickets cost 1,600 yen for adults and 800 yen for elementary school students, while one-way tickets cost 800 yen for adults and 400 yen for elementary school students.

If you arrive by taxi, you may only get in and out at the designated taxi drop-off and pick-up area located within the base. If you are entering on foot, you may enter through the “North Gate” or the “Koto Gate” on the north side of the base; if you are arriving by bicycle, you may only enter through the “Koto Gate.” A bicycle parking area is available within the base.
