Odakyu Electric Railway, JR East, and others will host “Shinjuku Minamirumi” at six venues in the Shinjuku South Exit area. The event will run from November 11 to February 14, 2027.
Under the overarching theme of “Light Illuminates. Hearts Rejoice. ~colorful & heartful~,” each venue will feature unique illuminations that reflect its own theme. Additionally, a common musical score will be played throughout the entire area—where approximately 275,000 LEDs will be aglow—to foster a sense of unity.
The event will be held at six locations: Suica Penguin Plaza, the JR Minami-Shinjuku Building, the JR Shinjuku Miraina Tower, Takashimaya Times Square, Shinjuku Minds Tower, and Shinjuku Southern Terrace/Odakyu Southern Tower.
Christmas trees will be on display at select venues from November 11 through December 25. Visitors can enjoy different decorations at each location.
A digital stamp rally will also be held, where participants can join by scanning QR codes set up at each venue with their smartphones. The first 500 people to collect stamps from all four locations will receive a “Suica Penguin Notepad” as a gift. The event runs from November 11 to December 25, and stamps can be collected and giveaways claimed daily from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Giveaways can be redeemed at the Shin-Minami Ticket Gate at JR Shinjuku Station.
