“Risonare Atami” (2-13-1 Minakuchi-cho, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture), a resort hotel operated by Hoshino Resorts, will host “Fireworks Christmas,” a participatory event exclusive to guests, from December 1 to 25.
In honor of the “Atami Maritime Fireworks Festival,” a local Atami tradition, visitors can participate in a “Firework Shell Candle Holder Craft” (2,500 yen) using the same kraft paper found in actual fireworks shells. Additionally, a Christmas tree modeled after a fireworks shell will be on display in the lounge, which offers a panoramic view of Atami’s ocean and cityscape. A magical lighting ceremony will take place for about 10 minutes starting in the evening.
If you bring the finished craft you made yourself to the lighting ceremony, you can light it from the inside using a candle provided by Santa Claus, and after the ceremony, you can enjoy a free photo op with Santa Claus.
In addition, “Sora no Beach Books & Cafe” on the hotel’s top floor will offer an original hot cocoa drink (free of charge) decorated with glitter powder to evoke the sparkle of fireworks. Guests can savor a moment of relaxation, soaking in the lingering spirit of Christmas while gazing out at the night view spreading out below.
