In addition, starting October 15, a special promotion in collaboration with Jalan will begin. If you book a special plan using the “Hometown Discount Coupon” available on the special campaign page, you’ll receive an additional discount of up to 10,000 yen.

This great value package allows you to stay at one of the area’s leading accommodations—such as the “Shima Kanko Hotel,” “NEMU RESORT,” or “Kashikojima Hōshōen”—while choosing one of five experiences to enjoy, including a cruise on Ago Bay and making a wish using a pearl shell.

Enjoy a trip that’s uniquely yours, featuring breathtaking scenery and special local experiences. Ago Bay in Shima, Mie Prefecture, is the perfect place to make such a journey a reality. With breathtaking scenery created by its intricate rias coastline, strolls through remote islands, local cuisine featuring fresh seafood, and special activities unique to this renowned pearl-producing region, there is a wealth of experiences to choose from, all set against the backdrop of a leisurely pace of life.

A tourism campaign centered on Ago Bay in the Shima area of Mie Prefecture. Under the theme “More than just sightseeing. A unique Ago Bay experience you can only find here,” the campaign offers a variety of tourism options through JR Central’s member service “EX Travel Destination Reservations,” as well as accommodation packages that include these experiences.

The “AGO BAY BLUE PASS” cruise ship, which offers the shortest route by sea from Kashikojima Port, is also a convenient option. For a limited time through October 31, passengers can travel by sea to accommodations such as the Shima Kanko Hotel, Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace, and Shima Mediterranean Village.

For your trip to Shima, we recommend the “Kintetsu Ise-Shima Free Pass” from Kintetsu & JR Tokai. This is an exclusive pass available only to those who have purchased a Shinkansen ticket or an “EX Travel Pack” through the EX Service. It includes a round-trip ticket from Kintetsu Nagoya to the Shima area, plus unlimited rides between Matsusaka and Kashikojima. In addition, it includes a one-way ticket for the “Pearl Shuttle”—a bus service operating between Ise Jingu Naiku, Shima Spain Village, and stations and hotels in the Shima area—as well as a discount (approximately 20% off) on Orix Rent-a-Car.

It takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes from Tokyo Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen “Nozomi,” and about 2 hours and 16 minutes after transferring to the Kintetsu Limited Express at Nagoya Station, to reach Kashikojima Station, the terminus of the Kintetsu Shima Line.

Kashikojima serves as the gateway to Shima. It is the site where the 2016 Ise-Shima Summit was held.
