HIS has announced additional details regarding the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program on a special website.
Of the three prefectures—Kumamoto, Oita, and Kagoshima—for which implementation had been undecided, discount coupons for Kumamoto will be distributed starting at 12:00 p.m. on October 7. The discount rate is up to 60 percent, and reservations can be made online only.
The eligible stay period is from October 1 to December 25 (until December 15 for Fukuoka only). Eligible services include domestic tours (airfare + lodging) and overnight bus tours; the maximum discount is 20,000 yen per person per night per reservation, or up to 30,000 yen for stays of two nights or more.
