DOD: Large tables, chairs, and sofas that are easy to load into a car and offer plenty of space. Designed for compact storage.

Posted on October 7, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Beads’ outdoor brand “DOD” has released three new furniture items—the “Osamary Table L” (18,700 yen), the “Nice Middle Chair” (8,800 yen), and “Havana Nice Sofa” (15,400 yen).

To address the common camping dilemma that “the more space and comfort you want, the harder it is to fit everything in the car,” we’ve carefully designed the folding mechanism and dimensions. The product is engineered to ensure comfort during use while remaining compact when stored.

The Osamary Table L is a family table that features a wide 120-cm tabletop yet folds down to a compact size of approximately 60 × 10 × 42 cm (width × depth × height) when stored, thanks to its three-fold design. Since it stands on its own without any protruding parts when stored, it can be loaded stably into a car’s trunk whether laid flat or stood upright. The side shelves, which can hold condiments and small items, can be attached to either the inside or outside of the table, allowing for maximum use of the tabletop space.

In addition, the height can be adjusted to four different levels: 38, 56, 64, and 82 cm. It is versatile enough to accommodate everything from low-style dining to a standing work surface or event counter.

The Nice Middle Chair is a single-seater folding chair designed to address the common concerns that “low-style chairs make it difficult to stand up and sit down” and “high-style chairs take up too much space when stored.” It is a model that strikes a balance between ease of standing and sitting and storage efficiency. It features a unique frame design with a support frame on the backrest that prevents the seat from sinking too deeply, making it easier to maintain good posture even during extended periods of sitting.

In addition, the 35-cm seat height—which prevents you from bending your knees too much—reduces the strain of repeatedly standing up and sitting down while camping. The back pocket can hold a jacket or the included carrying bag, and it can also be used as a cushion to fill the gap between your back and the seat.

The Havana Nice Sofa is a wide two-seater sofa for adults that features a folding design that collapses sideways like an accordion. When folded, it becomes a slim unit approximately 24 cm wide, so it doesn’t take up much space across the width of the cargo area. It’s also said to be easy to load upright into minivans and SUVs.

It features fold-out side tables on both sides for holding drinks or smartphones, and setting it up is as simple as unfolding it. The total weight capacity is 200 kg.

The three products feature a natural color scheme centered on brown and beige tones and incorporate natural wood and aluminum alloy frames. The “Nice Middle Chair” and “Havana Nice Sofa” both have a seat height of approximately 35 cm, ensuring they are at the same height when placed side by side.
