On October 1, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department updated its list of locations where traffic violations are publicly enforced.
Speed violation (PDF) enforcement locations include Hanzomon Station Street in Chiyoda Ward (near Hayabusa-cho 3), the Otemachi-Ryogoku Line (near Otemachi 2-chome), Kaede Street (near Kanda Surugadai 2-chome), Yasukuni-dori (near Kanda Sudacho 2-chome), and approximately 100 other locations.
Priority enforcement areas are listed, along with maps, for each police station within its jurisdiction.
In addition, officers routinely enforce laws against obstructing pedestrians at crosswalks, violations on school routes (such as in school zones), drunk driving, and violations involving motorcycles, bicycles, and electric mobility devices.
