Oedo Onsen Monogatari acquires the “Hirugami Grand Hotel Tenshin” in Achi Village, Nagano. It is set to open as part of the Premium series in March 2027.

GENSEN HOLDINGS, which operates the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group, announced that it has acquired the “Shinshu Hirugami Onsenkyo Hirugami Grand Hotel Tenshin” (331-5 Chisato, Achi Village, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture) as a new property in Nagano Prefecture and will open it as the prefecture’s first facility in the “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium” series. Following renovation work on the building, the hotel is scheduled to open around March 2027.

Achi Village and Hirugami Onsen, the location of the new store, is the largest hot spring resort in Southern Shinshu, easily accessible by car from the Nagoya metropolitan area in about an hour and a half, as well as from Tokyo and Osaka. It is known for having Japan’s best starry skies—ranked No. 1 as the “place where stars appear to shine the brightest” in the Ministry of the Environment’s nationwide continuous star-gazing survey—as well as for the thousands of flowering peach trees that bloom in the spring.

The spring water boasts a highly alkaline pH of 9.7 and is affectionately known as the “beauty spring” and the “silky-smooth spring.” Visitors can enjoy a hot spring getaway while experiencing the rich four seasons along the clear waters of the Achi River—from playing in the river in summer to viewing the autumn foliage and snow-covered landscapes in winter.

The property acquired this time is a 7-story steel-frame and reinforced concrete building with a lot area of 10,049.57 m² and a total floor area of 9,531.44 m². It consists of the “Heart Hall,” built in 1980, and the “Heaven Hall,” which was added in 1997.

In preparation for the opening, plans are in place to feature a spacious communal bath, a buffet restaurant serving local specialties, and a premium lounge where guests can enjoy drinks at their leisure. Specific details regarding the start date for reservations and the grand opening will be announced on the official website and other channels as soon as they are finalized.

This will be the group’s fourth facility in the prefecture, following “TAOYA Kisoji,” “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Shinshu Kakeyu,” and “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Wanwan Resort Shinshu Ueda.”
