Rakuten Travel has announced details of its “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program. The program offers discounts of up to 60% in Kumamoto and Kagoshima, and up to 50% in the other five prefectures. Distribution and redemption of coupons will begin at 10:00 a.m. on September 15.
Reservations will be accepted starting on the 15th in Kumamoto and Nagasaki; as the schedule varies by prefecture for other regions, information will be released sequentially. The eligible stay period is for trips departing on or after October 1.
Eligible services include domestic accommodations and domestic tours (airfare + lodging, or airfare + lodging + rental car). Day-use stays, day trips, JR Shinkansen and limited-express train tickets combined with lodging, and Rakuten Travel’s inbound travel site are excluded.
The maximum discount amount is 20,000 yen per night for domestic accommodations and domestic tours, and 30,000 yen or 60,000 yen for domestic tours (two nights or more).
In addition, as a benefit exclusive to Rakuten Travel, first-time users can receive an additional 1,500 yen off, and those making their first reservation through the Rakuten Travel app can receive a 10% discount (up to 2,000 yen).
