Reservations through travel agencies (businesses with branches in Oita Prefecture)
The maximum discount amount is 20,000 yen per night for accommodation-only packages and accommodation packages that include transportation; 30,000 yen for accommodation packages with transportation that include two or more nights; and 35,000 yen for multi-destination tour packages that span two or more prefectures. The campaign will end once the budget limit is reached, regardless of the booking method used.
About the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount”
The “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” announced by the Japan Tourism Agency provides a subsidy of up to 50 percent of travel costs (up to 60 percent for Kumamoto and Kagoshima) to domestic and international visitors, with the aim of reviving travel demand in the seven prefectures of Kyushu, which has declined due to the effects of the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake.
In addition to direct bookings at participating accommodations, reservations will be accepted on a rolling basis through travel agencies and OTAs designated by each prefecture (the implementation period varies depending on the local government’s budget).
