In response to the floods and mudslides that struck Nepal, and following a request for assistance from the Nepalese government, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide additional emergency relief supplies as detailed below.

The floods that struck Nepal on the morning of August 26 have caused extensive loss of life and property damage in the affected areas.
Damage Status as of September 16 (According to Local Authorities)
Death toll: 1,399
Missing Persons: Approximately 5,179
2. Details of the Supply of Goods
(1) Contents of Emergency Relief Supplies
Nucleic Acid Extraction and Purification Systems and DNA Extraction Reagent Kits
(2) Timing of the Grant
Following the completion of local procurement, the items are scheduled to be provided to the local government promptly.
