The Thailand Tourism Authority booth is full of tips for rewarding trips that nourish the soul. The workshops are also a huge hit!

Posted on September 27, 2026 by Editor in Chief

“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.

At the Thailand Tourism Authority’s booth—a perennial favorite—there’s a rich lineup of stage performances, including Thai dance routines such as the Hanuman and Lanna umbrella dances.

Of particular note is the “Nail Dance Massage.” Described as a stretching massage that combines the nail dance—a tradition from the Lanna region of northern Thailand—with massage, it is drawing the attention of the many people passing by the booth.

There are two types of workshops: “Yardom Making” and “Seaweed Glass Holder Making.” Yardom is a plant-based inhalant that has been popular in Thailand since ancient times. You can choose dried herbs such as cinnamon and ginger, grind them into a paste, adjust the scent, and create your very own herbal inhalant.

Under the theme “Healing Is the New Luxury,” this year’s Thailand booth is promoting rewarding getaways that nourish both mind and body.
