To coincide with “Railway Day” on October 14, the JR Group will once again offer the “Fall Unlimited Ride Pass” and the “Fall Unlimited Ride Pass Hokkaido Shinkansen Option Ticket” for fiscal year 2026. The sales period runs from September 18 to October 16, and the validity period is from October 3 to 18. Prices are 7,850 yen for adults and 3,920 yen for children.
The Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass is a ticket that allows unlimited travel for three consecutive days on ordinary and rapid trains (in non-reserved seating) on JR lines nationwide, as well as on BRT services and the JR West Miyajima Ferry. It cannot be used on limited express and express trains (including the Shinkansen) or in reserved Green Car seats; passengers must also purchase the appropriate fare tickets and a ticket for the relevant section of the journey.
The Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass with Hokkaido Shinkansen Option is a ticket that allows for one one-way trip in standard-class seating on the Hokkaido Shinkansen between Shin-Aomori Station and Kikonai Station, as well as one one-way trip on the Donan Isaribi Railway Line between Kikonai Station and Goryokaku Station.
If you have a reserved seat on the Hokkaido Shinkansen or make a stop at any station on the Donan Isaribi Railway Line (excluding Kikonai Station), you must pay the fare and surcharges for the entire route traveled. Additionally, you must present this pass along with your Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass when using the service.
The sales period is from September 18 to October 18, and the validity period is from October 3 to 18 (the same as the Fall Unlimited Ride Pass); prices are 4,650 yen for adults and 2,320 yen for children.
