Peach Unveils New Uniforms to Be Worn Starting October 1. First-Ever Dresses Introduced, Featuring a Beige Gradient That Complements the New Aircraft

Posted on September 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

The company also announced that it had signed a “Cooperation Agreement on Realizing Further Growth at Kansai International Airport” with Osaka Prefecture.

Peach Aviation has redesigned the uniforms worn by its flight attendants, flight crew, and ground staff, and they will begin wearing them on October 1. Ahead of this, on September 3, the airline unveiled the new uniforms at the Osaka Prefectural Government Building, where five models showcased them on the runway.

New Uniforms to Mark the 15th Anniversary Brand Relaunch

The transition to the new uniforms is part of the brand renewal initiative that has been underway since March to coincide with the company’s 15th anniversary. The current uniforms have not undergone any major changes since the airline began operations in March 2012, with only minor updates—such as to the scarves—implemented in 2018.

At the start of the meeting, Kazunari Ohashi, Representative Director and CEO, acknowledged that as a young airline that has been in business for only 15 years, there are still areas where the company falls short. He added, “Including these new uniforms, we will continue to make every effort as a company to provide services that ensure our customers’ safety and comfort—and, above all, bring them joy.”

Next came the unveiling of the new uniforms for flight crew, cabin crew, and ground staff. Models wore the new uniforms and walked down a special runway.

The new uniforms feature a common design for both flight attendants and ground staff, and include a new one-piece style. They are based on a beige gradient that harmonizes with the newly renovated airport counters and the newly designed aircraft scheduled to be delivered next spring.

Pink accents, symbolic of Peach, have been incorporated into the design, and curved details—which also coordinate with the new logo—have been added to the scarves and pockets. The materials and designs of the jackets and pants for both men and women have been standardized, creating a sense of unity. Additionally, the flight attendants’ jackets have been updated to a sleek, single-breasted style.

The new uniform incorporates feedback from frontline employees and features materials that are durable, soft, and stretchy. It was tested for a variety of movements, such as opening and closing overhead bins, standing up and sitting down, and reaching out with the arms. The design reportedly achieves a refined, beautiful silhouette while maintaining just the right amount of ease. The pockets feature pen loops, and the design is said to prioritize practicality—such as ensuring the silhouette remains intact even when items are placed inside.

Yuya Nakata, the creative director in charge of the project, explained the design concept behind the new uniforms. Nakata is also known for designing the attendant uniforms for the “Japan Pavilion” at the Osaka-Kansai World Expo. His own brand, “POSTELEGANT,” has earned high praise for its use of high-quality materials and unisex designs.

Mr. Nakata said that when he received this offer, he first thought about the people who would be wearing the uniforms. He began the design process by prioritizing ease of movement and functionality in the workplace. As for the overall color scheme, he said he was inspired by the image of a delicious-looking peach.

She went on to explain that this was the first time a one-piece style had been adopted as Peach’s uniform; that the pants style was designed to prioritize ease of movement while also ensuring a beautiful silhouette even in standing scenes; and that the oversized pockets were designed based on feedback from the field to make them more user-friendly.

Regarding pilot uniforms, operational safety was the top priority. Since pilots frequently find themselves in situations where they need to raise their arms, special attention was paid to ensuring ease of movement around the shoulders and sleeves so as not to interfere with their work. Additionally, the jackets—for flight attendants, ground staff, and pilots—were all standardized as single-breasted styles. We explained that adopting a common design was intended to foster a sense of unity within the Peach team.

Mr. Nakata also unveiled a new item: the “Mysterious Peach Pouch.” Both its color and shape are inspired by peaches, and it reportedly contains “Super Candy.” Passengers will soon be able to see flight attendants attaching them to their belts, so it seems this Kansai-style “candy communication” will be making its way onto flights as well.
