Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture, will implement the “Aso Fukko Discount” travel assistance program. The eligible stay period is September 7–30.
At eligible accommodations within the city, guests will receive a 5,000-yen discount if the room rate per person per night is 10,000 yen or more, and a 2,000-yen discount if the rate is 5,000 yen or more but less than 10,000 yen (this applies to consecutive nights as well). In addition, guests will receive 2,000 yen worth of local coupons per person per night, which can be used at restaurants, souvenir shops, and activity venues within the city.
Accommodation reservations have been accepted since September 1, and reservations can be made “only by booking directly” with the participating accommodations. Reservations made through OTA sites (such as Rakuten Travel and Jalan) or travel agencies are not eligible.
