During Silver Week, Odakyu Hakone will begin selling “Raku Raku Seating Reservation Tickets” for the Hakone Tozan Railway and will implement a priority boarding system based on advance reservations for the Hakone Tozan Cable Car and Hakone Ropeway. This applies to the two days of September 20 and 21.
The “Easy Seat Reservation Ticket” is available for a limited capacity of 60 passengers, and you can reserve a seat by adding 500 yen to the fare. This offer applies to the special train departing Hakone-Yumoto Station at 11:58 a.m. bound for Gora Station. Reservation tickets will be available starting at 10:00 a.m. on September 1 via the “EMot” ticketing site (app and online). On the day of travel, passengers will be guided to their seats in the order they arrive on the platform; specific car numbers and seats cannot be selected.
In addition, priority boarding—available free of charge by advance reservation—is offered at the Hakone Tozan Cable Car’s Gora Station and the Hakone Ropeway’s Sōunzan Station and Ōwakudani Station.
This offer applies to one round-trip service each in the 11:00–14:00 time slots on the Hakone Tozan Cable Car, departing from Gora Station and bound for Sōunzan Station. Reservations are accepted for 30 passengers per train (seats are not guaranteed). Reservations open on “Hakone Navi” at 10:00 a.m. on September 1.
Meanwhile, the Hakone Ropeway will operate with a capacity of 80 passengers every 15 minutes from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for trips departing from Sōunzan Station (Sōunzan → Ōwakudani), and 100 passengers every 15 minutes from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for trips departing from Ōwakudani Station (Ōwakudani → Ubako/Tōgendai) from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every 15 minutes (100 passengers per trip). Reservations will be accepted via “Hakone Navi” starting at 12:00 p.m. on September 7.
