Matsuzakaya Ueno (3-29-5 Ueno, Taito Ward, Tokyo) will host the “Fall Delicacies Fair,” featuring popular gourmet foods from across the country that have drawn long lines and generated buzz, from September 10 to 16.

In addition to Osaka’s famous “551 HORAI” pork buns (1,500 yen for a pack of 6) and the Italian brioche “Venetiana” (788 yen for a half-size) from the bakery “Tamade Kimuraya”—which has gained popularity at events across the country—making a return this year, Kanagawa’s renowned ramen shop “Shina Soba-ya” will make its debut with a sit-down area, serving freshly made special soy sauce ramen (2,300 yen) and other dishes.

Also featured are the Coelacanth Monaka (2,350 yen for a 6-piece box) from “Maison Coelacanth” in Miyagi, the Kurumikko (2,376 yen for a 10-piece tin) from “Kamakura Beniya” in Kanagawa, Mie’s “Akafuku” Akafuku Mizu-yokan (1 box, 1,200 yen), and Fukuoka’s “Kasanoya” Umegae-mochi (5-piece set, 900 yen)—the lineup features some of Japan’s most renowned confections.

Other live cooking demonstrations that let you enjoy the “autumn appetite” and the spirit of travel include beef tendon okonomiyaki (1,836 yen per serving) from “Mitchan Yokogawa Branch Bunka” in Hiroshima, chicken skin gurumaki (2,160 yen for 10 pieces) from “Torikawa Oichi” in Fukuoka, and Saitama’s “Imofukudo” baked sweet potato Mont Blanc soft-serve (850 yen each), and Kyoto’s “Imo Kobo IIMO” fresh sweet potato kenpi (thinly sliced, 864 yen per bag), among other items.

Many of the popular items are available in limited quantities each day, and some stores (551 HORAI, Maison Coelacanth, Kamakura Beniya, Okashitsukasa Yamadaya, and Teigi Tofu Shop) will distribute numbered tickets for purchases; therefore, please check the official website or other sources before visiting.

The event will be held at the Matsuzakaya Ueno Store on the 6th floor in the event hall. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day (until 5:00 p.m. on the final day). Numbered tickets will be distributed before the store opens in front of Park Place 24, outside the building.
