On August 28, Rakuten Travel began distributing “Kumamoto and Kagoshima Tourism Support Coupons” as part of its own travel campaign to support tourism businesses and others affected by disasters in Kumamoto and Kagoshima Prefectures. There are four types of coupons, and the eligible booking and usage periods are as follows.
5,000-yen “Raku Pack” coupon valid for travel in Kumamoto and Kagoshima Prefectures
Reservation Period: August 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. – October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Travel Period: Departures from August 29, 2026, through returns on October 31, 2026 (excluding departures on September 19–22 and October 10–11)
Number of copies printed: 700
Among these, the “Raku Pack” allows you to book a package that combines ANA or JAL airline tickets or JR Shinkansen/Limited Express tickets with accommodations. Both offers are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will end once the maximum number of tickets has been reached.
A total of more than 16,000 coupons of four different types will be issued, worth approximately 40 million yen. In addition, the initiative accepts online donations through “Rakuten Clutch Donations” and “Rakuten Hometown Tax,” aiming to support Kyushu’s tourism industry through travel.
