The Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art is hosting the exhibition “Vermeer’s *Girl with a Pearl Earring*: Masterpieces of 17th-Century Dutch Painting—A Miraculous Return to Japan” in its 5th-floor exhibition hall through September 27.
With the exhibition running for just 38 days—a relatively short period—and following an announcement from the Mauritshuis that “this may be the last chance to see it in Japan,” combined with the immense popularity of the collaboration merchandise, the museum appears to be quite crowded every day.
Admission tickets are issued on a date-and-time-specific basis. Although general sales were initially planned to be on a first-come, first-served basis, the overwhelming number of applications exceeded expectations, so the system was changed to a lottery-based system with tickets available only through advance sales.
With less than a month left until the event ends, there are still two more chances to win tickets through a lottery. The application periods and dates for announcing the results are as follows.
