On August 26, JR East announced that it would discontinue sales of the current Suica (card type)—which features the “Suica Penguin”—once stocks run out at ticket vending machines and other sales locations at stations.

At the Ochanomizu Bridge Exit of JR Ochanomizu Station, which we visited this time, there were no noticeable lines or confusion as of 8:00 p.m. on the 26th, and the multifunction ticket machines were selling all types of Suica cards—including unregistered (Suica), registered (My Suica), and Suica commuter passes.”
The procedure for purchasing tickets at the multi-function ticket vending machines is as follows. Although there is currently no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased at a single machine, we ask that you refrain from buying large quantities for personal stockpiling or for the purpose of resale.
