Fukushima Prefecture is running the second phase of its “Come Back Again” discount campaign, designed to stimulate travel demand, through September 18.
This campaign offers a 3,000-yen discount per person per night on stays at hotels and hot spring inns within the prefecture, regardless of whether it is a weekday or a holiday (applicable to reservations of 8,000 yen or more per person per night). Following the conclusion of Phase 2 (for stays from August 20 to September 18), Phase 3 (fall) and Phase 4 (winter) are scheduled to follow; the start dates for accepting reservations will be announced at a later date.
Accommodation reservations can be made directly with participating accommodations (via their official websites or by phone), as well as through OTA websites and travel agencies in Fukushima Prefecture. For reservations made directly with the accommodation or through an OTA, you can apply the discount by obtaining a discount coupon in advance from “STAYNAVI” on the campaign’s special website and paying “on-site” at the accommodation where you are staying.
On the other hand, when making a reservation through a travel agency, you do not need to issue a discount coupon yourself; only advance payment is accepted. Please note that reservations will close for both methods once the budget limit is reached.
