The “Toyohashi Shinshiro Smart IC” on the Tomei Expressway is expected to open in the spring of 2027. Located midway between the Mikkabi IC and Toyokawa IC on both directions of the highway, it will be a 24-hour entrance and exit.

NEXCO Central Japan, along with Toyohashi City and Shinshiro City in Aichi Prefecture, announced that the “Toyohashi-Shinshiro Smart IC,” currently under construction on the Tomei Expressway (E1), is expected to open in the spring of 2027.

It is located midway between the Mikkabi IC and Toyokawa IC (17.8 km) on this highway, 11.5 km from the Mikkabi IC and 6.3 km from the Toyokawa IC. It is a full interchange requiring a stop, serving as both an entrance and exit for traffic in both directions. It operates 24 hours a day and is open exclusively to vehicles equipped with ETC.
