The Himi City Tourism Association in Toyama Prefecture has been running the “Himi Travel Discount Campaign” since August 17.
If you obtain the “Himi Travel Discount Coupon” on Rakuten Travel and select and apply a plan from among the 36 eligible facilities in Himi City—including hotels, hot spring inns, and guesthouses—you’ll receive a discount of up to 10,000 yen on your accommodation fee. The booking period is from August 17 to November 13, and the stay period applies to stays with check-in on or after August 23 and check-out on or before November 16. The offer ends when coupons run out.
In addition, a campaign is currently underway through January 31, 2027, offering “Himi Kitokito Gift Certificates” worth up to 3,000 yen to visitors who stay overnight in the city and rent a car. These certificates can be used at participating stores, including the popular dining spot “Himi Fishing Port Off-Site Market: Himi Ban’ya Street.”
In Himi City, which faces Toyama Bay, visitors can enjoy gourmet cuisine featuring local specialty ingredients—such as winter yellowtail and Himi beef—at restaurants throughout the city. They can also experience the Himi Onsen hot spring resort, which offers breathtaking views of the Tateyama Mountain Range across the bay; go shopping in the Himi Ban’ya Shopping District; and visit tourist spots associated with Fujiko Fujio A.
