Kanro will reopen its “Hitotsubu Kanro Gransta Tokyo” store—which had been closed due to partial renovation work at “Gransta Tokyo,” the shopping complex inside JR Tokyo Station—at 10:00 a.m. on September 16.
This store is the first location of Kanro’s directly operated candy shop brand, which opened in 2012 to commemorate the company’s 100th anniversary. It carries a variety of items, including “Gumitzel”—a next-generation gummy with a pretzel-like shape that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—as well as gift-wrapped packages and limited-edition products.
At the renovated store located in the new “Underground Marunouchi Ticket Gate Area” at Gransta Tokyo, a new section where customers can create custom gifts has been added. Customers can freely select four items—including the ever-popular Gumitzel and “mofuwa,” a marshmallow with a cloud-like, soft and fluffy texture—from the new “Hanatabi Gumitzel” (850 yen) and “Soratabi mofuwa” (600 yen) lines, which are even smaller than the existing mini sizes, and pack them into a single “Traveling Gift Box” (250 yen).
The lineup also includes new items such as the “Gumitzel Can” (1,600 yen), featuring a train motif and the TOKYO logo, and the “Blue Sky Mofuwa Petit Box” (2,200 yen), which is recommended for sharing at the office or at home.
