Ryohin Keikaku, the company behind the MUJI brand, will release a “mobile battery that doubles as a smartphone stand” on August 19. It will be available at MUJI stores nationwide and online.
Featuring magnetic wireless charging (Qi 2 compatible, up to 15W output) and a smartphone stand, the series is available in two models: a 5,000mAh (18.5Wh) version that’s easy to carry around daily, and a high-capacity 10,000mAh (37Wh) version. The 5,000mAh model is priced at 4,990 yen, and the 10,000mAh model at 5,990 yen.
By extending the stand on the back of the unit, you can place your smartphone in either portrait or landscape orientation, and it can charge your smartphone while the power bank itself is charging. You can use it as a charging stand on your desk at home or at work, and when you’re on the go, you can simply take it with you as a portable power bank.
Both the 5,000 mAh and 10,000 mAh models feature one USB Type-A port and one USB Type-C port each. The power bank supports charging via either Type-C (20W PD fast charging) or Type-A (slow charging).
The dimensions and weight of the unit are as follows: the 5,000 mAh model measures approximately 7.0 × 1.6 × 10.5 cm and weighs approximately 167 g, while the 10,000 mAh model measures approximately 7.0 × 2.2 × 10.5 cm and weighs approximately 238 g. USB cables are sold separately.
