Walt Disney Japan and JCB are issuing a credit card featuring Marvel designs. This is one of the designs for the “Disney★JCB Card” and will be available for a limited time from September 15 through March 31, 2028.
The card features artwork depicting heroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Hulk gathered together, along with a red card edge that symbolizes Marvel. Two types will be available: a standard black card and a gold card with a shimmering gold finish. Notably, Groot is included in the artwork exclusively on the gold card. The sign-up bonus is an original pin badge, available to the first 10,000 applicants.
The annual fee for a Standard Card is 2,200 yen for the primary cardholder (first year free) and 440 yen for each family member. For a Gold Card, the annual fee is 14,300 yen for the primary cardholder; the first family member is free, and each additional family member costs 1,100 yen.
To commemorate the “Year of the Avengers”—which includes the launch of credit cards in Japan and the release of new movies—we are launching a campaign. Giant credit card photo spots will be set up in Tokyo and Osaka.
In Osaka, the event will be held at the plaza in front of Big Man at Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station from September 19 to 20. Hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In Tokyo, the event will be held at the storefront event space of SHIBUYA109 Shibuya from September 25 to 27. Hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition, a three-day, two-night “MARVEL SUPER HEROES EXPERIENCE” tour of Hong Kong Disneyland will be held in March 2027. The tour will feature special meet-and-greets, stays in Marvel-themed rooms, and a host of other Marvel-themed activities.
In addition, Marvel items are now available through the “Disney★JCB Card” points redemption program. Starting September 1, you can get original items featuring the “MARVEL HEROES” design. Also, a social media campaign (X/Instagram) offering a chance to win prizes through a drawing will begin on September 15.
