――Please tell us what led you to start working at ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Okinawa Uruma Hills.
Throughout my career in hotel management, I have found great fulfillment in taking on the challenge of driving growth and enhancing value at hotels. The ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Okinawa Uruma Hills has tremendous potential to further enhance its appeal. I accepted this position driven by my desire to promote Okinawa’s charm and the unique value of our hotel to guests from other parts of Japan and overseas, with the goal of making this a resort that attracts even more visitors.
――What kind of hotel is it?
Located on a hilltop in Uruma City in central Okinawa Island, this resort hotel is surrounded by lush nature and offers views of the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Set in a quiet environment just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas, it allows you to enjoy the leisurely pace of Okinawan life. We offer a stay where you can truly relax amid beautiful scenery and a comfortable atmosphere.

We recommend a day trip by car that takes you across the Kaichu Road to explore Hamahiga Island, Miyagi Island, and Ikeijima Island. The surrounding area is dotted with fascinating spots, such as the mysterious limestone cave “CAVE OKINAWA,” the nature experience facility “Bios no Oka,” and “Kamimura Shuzo,” where you can learn about the history of awamori production. This route allows you to fully experience the charms of the Uruma area while immersing yourself in Okinawa’s unique nature and culture.
――What are your recommended restaurant dishes?
This breakfast buffet features “THE 10,” the Crown Plaza brand’s new breakfast concept. With “local,” “creativity,” and “discovery” as its key themes, it offers 10 signature dishes that allow guests to enjoy flavors unique to the region and make new discoveries.
At our hotel, the Spam rice balls—prepared right before your eyes by our chefs in the open kitchen—are especially popular. Additionally, at the “Nuchimaasu Tourist Salt Factory” on Miyagi Island, you can enjoy a factory tour as well as beautiful views overlooking the ocean. “Nuchimaasu,” a sea salt produced using a unique method, is highly recommended not only for your own use but also as a souvenir for your loved ones.
