The Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art (4-3-1 Nakanoshima, Kita Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) will host the exhibition “Vermeer’s *Girl with a Pearl Earring*: A Masterpiece of 17th-Century Dutch Painting—A Miraculous Return to Japan” starting August 21.

This exhibition showcases 12 masterpieces of 17th-century Dutch art from the collection of the Mauritshuis Museum in the Netherlands, including Vermeer’s masterpiece *Girl with a Pearl Earring*—on display in Japan for the first time in 14 years—and his early work *Diana and the Nymphs*. Original merchandise and brand collaboration items that capture the exhibition’s atmosphere will be available for purchase at the venue’s special pop-up shop and through the museum’s online store.

The “Exhibition Catalog” (2,600 yen), which showcases the appeal of the exhibition, is a substantial volume featuring 170 full-color pages of diverse content, including artwork descriptions, essays, and scientific research findings. The lineup also includes Miffy plush toys (5,500 yen), drawstring pouches (1,320 yen), and stickers (660 yen)—all featuring Miffy, who was also born in the Netherlands and serves as an ambassador for the exhibition.

A collaboration with the popular manga *Freiren: Funeral March* is already drawing attention, with merchandise featuring original illustrations by artist Tsukasa Abe now available. Shogakukan’s Sunday Premium Shop is scheduled to begin accepting pre-orders for items such as reproductions of original artwork in late August, with further details to be announced at a later date on official social media channels.

Special sponsor MIKIMOTO has created a special line of pearl earrings (starting at 7.7 million yen) inspired by famous paintings, and it has been confirmed that they will be available at locations such as the Ginza 4-chome flagship store. In addition, items designed to add a touch of color to everyday life will be on sale, including the “ROOTOTE TABLO” tote bag (3,520 yen), as well as apparel such as T-shirts from the Tag’s Working Party (18,700 yen) and reversible hanten jackets (88,000 yen).

Other items include an assortment of baked goods from Henri Charpentier (1,620 yen), a cookie tin filled with polvorón from Taiyo no Tō Western Confectionery Shop (1,620 yen), a Sakuma Drops tin containing Vermeer Blue-flavored drops (540 yen), the Riga Royal Hotel’s Langue de Chat cookies (1,944 yen), and chocolate (2,484 yen)—the selection features a variety of sweets incorporating designs inspired by famous paintings.
